The checks depend on how you connect. Network (TCP·S7) roasters always need the Hyper Bridge running, while USB (serial) roasters connect straight from the browser without it.

Network (TCP·S7) roasters

Hyper Bridge running · same LAN · IP entered

USB (serial) roasters

No Bridge · Chrome/Edge Web Serial permission

01Checklist

Network (TCP·S7) roasters such as Giesen and Easyster can't talk to the browser directly. The desktop app has the Hyper Bridge built in; on the web browser, run the Hyper Bridge on your PC to relay the connection.
Start the Hyper Bridge first every time before you roast. When it launches, its setup screen (http://localhost:3030) opens automatically.
If you haven't installed it yet, get the build for your OS from the download button below or the Bridge setup guide.
If you only connect over USB (serial), the Hyper Bridge is not needed.
